Tales from the Ark

These are stills from a DVD movie called Tales from the Ark "Honk If You're Special". I was allowed to intern for Fusion Communications in Davenport, Iowa and helped in this project for three months with various jobs including modeling, character rigging, and scene compositing. In the scene involving the characters in flight, I used Discreet Combustion to add cloud effects behind the characters and animated them for the illusion of flight as well as putting together a backdrop using Adobe Photoshop. For the musical number I worked on Maya to render occlusion layers for shadows and rendering various layers and used Discreet Combustion to place blur/focus effects onto the scenes.

Nerf intro animation

These are animation stills from a short mock intro piece designed to advertise Nerf. In this project I used Autodesk Maya and Adobe Photoshop to add textures to the models and apply lights into the scene. Using Maya and Adobe Premier I applied dust effects and special light reflection effects. This project earned a silver Addy Award for student animation.

For this project I had to create a design for packaging a U.S. Cellular phone.

I used the colors of U.S. Cellular, which were blue, white, and a small amount of red. The design I used applied to be conservative but attractive. An open window was put into the box so the product can be viewed.

A business card and logo was needed for Piccasso's Slice of Pie, a pizza restaurant in Chicago.

I started off creating a logo appropriate for a pizza restaurant. I used a bright red color, a color associated with hunger, and contrasts well with the yellow of pizza.

The goal of this project was to create a visually appealing business card for myself.

For the business card I changed my personal logo, using black and gray instead of blue in order to make the logo less bright and more masculine.

This project was to make a logo for myself that can be applied in a variety of ways.

I used a stylized drawing of initials to identify myself graphically. I used blue and white, using cool colors which contrast with neither being overwhelming.
